I'm looking for a chrome door trim piece for my 1977 GMC High Sierra. The larger rectangular piece that surrounds the wood trim panel.

I wonder how different the GMC High Sierra ones are from the Chevy Blazer Cheyenne ones. I have a 1977 set of complete doors (with body damage) and I know one of the doors still has that trim ring on it.

They are the same trim. I could buy the reproduction today if I wanted the pull handle.

I see you've been looking for a while. I've been off the forum for a few years (just getting back into the "K5 scene" again) so I just saw your post. Can you give me a couple of days to get to it? Those doors are basically behind all of the parts I salvaged off my '77 parts K5. I'll have to move quite a bit of stuff around to get to the door. Let me get to it and take a picture of it to see if you want it or not. I'm not exactly positive what kind of shape it's in. I just know it's there on the driver's door.

I'm in no rush. The truck is currently down with a fuel delivery issue while I am finishing up a house remodel project... I mainly am looking for one that still has good mounting tabs but no pull handle. Thanks,

Hey Kenny, man I apologize. I completely forgot about this. I went out and looked in the shed and those doors are in the very back, behind about 10 years of other Blazer parts. Let me see if I can come up with some time maybe this weekend and get to them. If I can and it's any good, you can have it for free. Just have to figure out how to get it to you.

So someone else with the same problem

Don't worry, this is not a rush. The truck is down for a fuel system overhaul at the moment and that is not happening until the snow melts.

I'll ne heading down to the Portland swap meet in a couple weeks if you gst a chance to look between now and then.

Kenny, I pulled that trim rectangle off that door. Unfortunately, two of the tabs are broken off. They had it held on with two tiny screws. It's yours if you want it, or just want to stop by and look it closer. Just let me know.
