This was an old truck I had back in 2010. It was a Jimmy that was converted to a pickup. Someone spent alittle time cutting a cab and fitting it to the back of the Jimmy. I wish I had more pics of the back of the cab to show what all was done. It had an old 302 sbc, 700r4, np208, with 3/4 ton axles. It was close to an 8" lift with cut fenders on 41" Iroks. Just wanted to share these pics with yall....enjoy!

Yeah I’ve seen the bolt on kits. This one was actually made from another cab and riveted on. I was going through old pictures and saw these. Just wanted to share haha.

Back around 1986 one of the customers at the parts store had a '77 K5 he bought that was hit in the rear,he parted it out and put a pickup cab he had on it's frame, and shortened a 6 foot bed to match the wheelbase..
The 2WD 3/4 ton pickup he had used as the donor had a 454/SM465 drivetrain,he couldn't get it titled,so he decided to buy the "totaled" K5 and use the pickup truck for parts..the K5 had a title..

This guy was a good body man & painter and he painted it fire engine red and put GM white spoked rims & 31 x10.50-15's on it..
I drooled every time he'd come in with that truck,I had a '72 K5 at the time .nowhere near as nice as his rig was..

One day he came in and it had a "for sale" sign lying on the dash--he wanted to do more projects and needed cash,he said he'd sell it to me for $1500,and I was going to get the cash after work, and meet him at the store the next day...back then you could pick up deals like this ,and rust wasn't that bad yet,the trucks were not old enough to be rotted to death in most cases..

He never showed up--I waited most of the day and just before closing time I called him and asked WTF happened--he sheepishly admitted he'd sold it to another guy who offered him $2500 the night before..

In 2005 I had the same plan for my 76 k5,I had parted a pickup cab and cut off the back like that and it sat in the backyard for a few years until I finally scrapped it all.
It's exactly how I imagined it would turn out, I have no use for small vehicles anymore so that won't happen now

Is attachment literally all pop rivets? Do you have any pictures of how the "cab back" interacts with the inside of the bed and the floor? That looks like carpet edge trim used to cover the gap. What what sealing it all up? Is that a home-lengthened front drive shaft?

I don’t really remember what it looked like in the bed/cab connection. I don’t even remember what it looked like from the inside of the cab. It had a lot of fabricated things on it welded rear ended, front hangers, Driveshaft’s, cab fabrication etc. I wish I had more pics to show exactly what was done to it. I came into with the transmission case cracked in half. I put another trans in it and primered the body and painted the frame. It was deff built to be a mud/trail truck. For what it was it was fun. This was The first time I saw a truck tail gate on the blazer/jimmy

Cool truck. I had a half top for my 72 but never put it on. Bought at junkyard for 20 bucks and sold it for $200.
