1/2 ton status
As someone who has dealt with commercial trucks just 15+ years-old, it will be next to impossible and financially unfeasible to get that thing on the road. It will never pass an annual commercial vehicle inspection, something that is NOT age exemptible...
Notice I didn’t say impossible… just next to impossible.
My brother is up against the same thing with his International water-truck and Chevy Top-kick / Caterpillar drill rig (both which, by the way, require a class B CDL as long as you are not pulling a trailer; class A w/ trailer… w/ some exceptions). The ’90 model Top-Kick needs a ton of work each year just to pass inspection; and the other one, forget it! It frustrates the hell out of him… If they didn’t run so good and weren’t so damn expensive, he would have long since bought new ones.
If you buy it… buy it for parts and scrap… not to attempt to put on the road… just my point of view... I could be wrong.
