1/2 ton status
It occurred to me that listing what kind of trucks you could buy throughout the years would be cool to know. As in long bed reg cab, short bed reg cab, and engine and transmission options, axle options, ect.
The problem is I don't know ALL the available configurations.
One truck I know of that I have NEVER seen again was a 86 2wd short bed with a 6.2 and a 3 speed manual trans. I believe it was a factory built truck but could have been a special order. I havent seen another 2wd short bed with a 6.2 and that is 1 of only 2 that I have ever seen with a 3 speed manual. The other 3 speed truck was a 1/2 ton long bed 2wd with a 6.2 as well, but I don't recall the year.
I do know 4wd short beds came with 6.2's quite often.
