so after blowing a head gasket and breaking the front drive shaft its time to build a new motor just wondering what ur guys thoughts are on motors. its going in an 83 sierra 1/2 ton with a almost stock 350 (NO BALLS) lol. the truck has 8" of lift with 39.5" tsl's.THANKS in advance!

if your 83 is smog exempt where you have it registered, id get a 383 stroker. IF you have to pass smog, id get another stock 350.

Most 350's are dogs with 39.5 tires unless you got low gears :thumb:

A few simple upgrades do go a long way on a stock type replacement , namely getting rid of the factory cam , adding better exhaust , dual plane intake thats rasied a little higher , and getting rockers with accurate ratios .

yea thats an idea i dont have to worry about smog around here. how much hp do u think a 383 would make on average with average parts. i play in the mudd and do a little trail riding and its no longer a dd. and thanks for the sugestions!

PAULY383 thats exactly what im sayn haha i have all that done to my motor already and it still a dog. and im starting on axles soon and will be doing the gears then.
