well, i have a 2wd 90 2500suburban at my disposal, and im goin to pull the bbc out of it tomm. i know to grab the radiator, shroud, accessories, etc...from the truck, but what else would i need????

it has 111k miles on it, and im going to do a mild build on it before i cram it in my jimmy. im going to run a carb to keep it simple at the mud hole. i am going to grab all the tbi stuff off of the motor "just in case" my plans change. my truck now is tbi, so a tbi to tbi could work, but it's not the plan right now.

any advice/input???

do i need the fuel pump??? computer???etc???

thanks

Make sure everything is loose before jacking on the engine hoist. My friend didn't get a motor mount bolt out all the way. In the dark I couldn't see what was up and I bent the cylinder on my engine hoist. They go with a bang.

Take the time to get the TBI working. If your truck already has a TBI on it, it wont be that much work. You will kick yourself in the ass later if you do not keep it. IMO.

There wasn't anything that stood out to me when I pulled mine. I've got the TBI on mine still, I can't see it making any power though. I'm going to a carb if I swap the BB in.

I could use the rear d-shaft out of yours though :D

The transmission was kind of a pita since I didn't take the cross member out.
