Hi I put a mnute mount plow on my trk and I want to up grade the alternator for more amps.I have a 97 k3500 5.7 liter.I got the longer sepintine belt and the 140 amp alternator. My question is my trks 100 amp alternator has a roundish plug and 1 wire. The 140 amp has a rectangular connector and 3 wires. So can I and how do I wire it.Thanks

There is a great thread on this subject already started, I tried to link it but I dont have a high enough post count for it to let me. Do a quick search for "Alternator Upgrades" and you will find it.

Yea I would of done a search before posting this thread,But I'm also a newbie and I don't believe they'll let me do a search. Thanks for the reply
