I bought a 1989 Jimmy with a 4" superlift and 33's and it has tons of clearance. I really only wanna run 33's so Im thinking of putting a 2-1/2" lift on, therefore I need to put the stock steering arm back on right?

Can I re-use the conical washers on the steering arm swap or should I purchase new ones? (they are very expensive...like $15ea from LMC)

BTW.....Anyone near houston wanna swap there 2-1/2" lift for a 6mo old superlift softride? :cool1:

I ran a 4" raised steering arm on my truck with 2.5" lift. It worked fine. I noticed a little more bump steer at first but I got used to it and it never bothered me. I would say leave it.

If you do put the stock arm back on you can reuse the conical washers as long as they are not all beat up. If you need new ones there are alot of places to get them on the net for alot cheaper then LMC. $6 each comes to mind.

Thanks, that would be great if I didnt have to swap the steering arm, it would make the change much easier.

Got any links to order those washers online just in case?

i would swap my 2 inch front springs and rear add a leafs, dont know how old they are and who made them but they can clear 33s no problem

I wouldn't worry a bit with a 4" arm and a 2.5" lift. 2.5 is closer to 4 than it is to 0 anyway.
