I can't find any prices on what this stuff goes for. I don't think I'm gonna use any of it, I can't find a TBI 454/4l80 ECM and harness, and don't want to go manual v/b, or spend $700 on a standalone computer. The motor/trans is out of a 96 3/4 ton 2wd, motor is a GM crate with 30k-ish miles, and I think the trans was rebuilt when the motor was installed. Motor/trans is complete, ECM and harness would be included.

wonder what it would take to put that vortec in my 90 Blaze with a 700r4 behind it...

Since it's complete, should be the same as if you were swapping it into an older truck....

Could I put my new 700 behind the 350?

It will bolt up no problems, and since the 700 isn't computer controlled, the trans will work. I think the only thing that you would have to do is for the VSS, I think the engine computer would need a signal to work properly?? It could be for the speedo.....

hmm, anyone know anything about this?

How much for the motor?

Good rebuilt trans, 30k Vortec engine. I'd say a little over $1000. Say $1500 I guess. A decent core 4l80E seems to go for around $500. Decent low mileage complete Vortec with computer and all would go for a little over $500. Figure on the rebuilt trans, and everything all there, $1500 sounds right to me. But thats just my thought process.

What would be the purpose? Trying to use the harness and trans with your 454?

I think Im still getting Eastcoast4wd's 92 Blazer, he swapped in a Vortec 350 with the 4l80. The 454 in my 89 runs perfect, and want to put it in the 92. But being a Vortec and non Vortec, of course they won't work. So if I can sell the motor, trans, harness and ECM, it will recover some of the cost of buying the truck. I wanted to keep the 4l80, but since this isn't gonna be a d/d my TH400 will be fine. So $1500 is a fair price????
