I am looking to buy this blazer for $1500 cash.

also my plans are to mud in this truck, go to the beach, go to the lake, off road....I am not going to build a show truck! i will probably end up painting it for sure, and puting a spray in bed liner in the entire inside of the truck.

I also forgot to add!!!!

He is going to throw in a 350 engine block, tbi eldebrock intake, bar doors for the summer and some more random parts.

For 1500 its all there and a usable truck for now,

Once you hang around hear for a while you will change everything anyway...HA

Id say go for it if you have driven it and are happy with how it starts and runs

I have not test driven it yet, These will be all my long term goals!

1. 383 motor
2. 700r4 built transmision
3. shackle flip
4.38 boggers or km2's
5. ez inch
6. 7 inch shackle's front and rear.
7. 3/4 axles with 4.10 gears
8.duel steering stabilizers
9. Would like to get rid of the top thats on it, Get the other soft top that looks like the hard top.
10.Rhino line the inside
11. Get some nice racing seat's.

There is more just cant think of it right now lol....

But i plan on using the block he gives me and turning it into the 383.
Selling the soft top that it has on it and buying the other kind of soft top.

Better make your gear swap a 4.88. With 38" tall tires,4.10's just won't be enough.

get rid of the body lift......what is the reason for 6-8" of spring lift AND a body lift? cross over steering would be the way to go. what do you plan on doing with this truck, other than having trouble getting into it?

Truck looks promising, BUT... It's a project, and are you prepared for it? Buying it will be the cheapest part, it only gets more expensive from here. How are the floors and the rockers? From the paint job it looks like it's hiding some rust repairs. These trucks are well known for rust issues!!!!! Read thru the k5 buyers guide sticky, print it out and take it with you... Don't let the excitement blind you from the truth. I see a cool project, but I also see lots of time and a ton of $$$$$$$$ in that ad and pictures, and it's definatley probably not a daily driver... If your ok with all of that and the truck is really solid, then go for it!!!

Yea i will take out the body lift for sure after i did some reading on the local 4x4 web page.....

As for what my plans are.

I will be puting 6-8 inch lift, running 35s-38s, and i will be puting 3/4 ton axles under it, i will then re gear the axles to fit the tires, And throw lockers in the front and rear.........I will use it to mud in, go to the lake, the beach, and drive in the summer.......As for my daily i will drive my 1980 chevy luv 4x4 lol.

THIS WILL NOT BE A SHOW TRUCK!!! ITS GOING TO BE IN THE MUD! AND BEACH!! I WILL SLAP A PAINT JOB ON IT BUT I WANT THE IN PUT IS IT WORTH $1500? WITH THE PARTS HE IS GOING TO THROW IN I CAN SELL AND MAKE BACK $400 EASY.

So it wont be so much a daily i just wanna make sure this thing will get me to the place i wanna go when i want to get there.

I would vote no.

What do you have to spend on this? motor work paint etc?

Say 5k (adjust to you situation) then look for one around 3-4k that someone has put 7k into and is losing 4k on to get rid of it. Be the one buying the deal rather than the one sinking the first 7k into it. You can get the final build for much less than if you paid for everything.

This blazer is running and driving.....i can start it drive it home....My future plans are to build a motor/trans for it way later down the road....right now i can sand it and paint it all by my self lmao.....so i really dont understand what you said.

I gotta say i think the price is a tad steep and the truck seems a bit like a basket case. If you can talk yourself out of it i probably would. If your anything like me though your mind is already made up and your going to get it no matter much of a bad idea it may be.

Well this is running and driving thats why i think its a good deal for $1500 there is no other 4x4 anywhere around here for that price.....the only other k5 i have found was siting in a field no wheels no tires and no title for $1500.....

Thats insane. Glad i live in oregon! If thats a good deal down there then go for it! Why not i guess right? You get tired of it you know you can sell it for what you paid for it.

Th doors on this truck ruin everything, they are old doors he threw on there, he has the bar doors for summer time.....And yea i could prob buy this thing clean it up and sell it for $2000 because this guy just posted it he didnt wash it, or clean anything at all on it rofl...

This thing run's and drive's has clear title, and the motor is said to be rebuilt.....And he is tossing in extra block heads ect...updated 1st page

I voted no because you should be able to find a better deal. I picked up my 90 running and driving with 122,000 showing on the odometer for 1500.
