and i have a question! :) i read in a thread here a while back that if you have the injectors rebuilt to 6.5 spec, you can get a touch more power out of the 6.2. apparently it's got a slightly higher pop value (whatever the proper term for that is, i don't know :wink1: ) thoughts???

I believe your talking about rebuilding the injector pump to 6.5L specs for more fuel/power? The injectors I'd buy/rebuild to match the injector pump.

I think it's so you can turn up the pump as well to get a little more power. Can't tell you how well it works though.

nope. talking about the injectors themselves. i talked to a guy here who rebuilds diesel injection components (pumps/injectors etc) (diesel fuel injection service, in portland) and he says it's all good to do what i want to do. $256, next day service! :wink1:

You can also get marine injectors which are built to different specs and will allow more fuel but you'll need to follow that with IP mods or something.

I'm just being cautious on figuring out what real world results you can expect with just changing your injector specs.

As I understand it high pop injectors don't open or spray until a higher pressure is attained. This gives better atomization to the fuel. So it seems to me the IP would see higher pressures as well. How will that affect the wear & tear on the IP? So if there is a higher pressure will your IP keep up to put enough fuel in the cylinder? If not will the better atomization make up for less fuel?
