tonight. Has a 350 transplant, 3.73 rear end with posi and is in really nice shape. Guy said $1000 takes it so hopefully I wont find anything too wrong and I'll be bringing home a new project :D

What happened with the Monte? Was it decent or thrashed? I dig those cars, but I've had a bunch of the Cutlass variety(3 at one tim).:D

I got it. $700 took it home. It has the original 305 with 115,000miles. The guy didnt know what he was talking about and I had to refresh his memory that the cars never came with 350s. So after looking over it it has 0 cancer, smokes a little but runs real strong.

I have to check it for the posi rear or not. I know its 3.73's though. I'm gunna do the valve seals, put a b&m mega shifter in and do a shift kit. Its got 2 or 2-1/4 true duals with flowmaster on it, my bud is givin me some longtubes to put on and I'm probably gonna strip the smog off it.

Its most likely gonna stay how it is for now and I'm gonna use it to drive to school. Once I get the truck 100% buttoned up and get some extra cash I'm looking at doing a 350 .040 over with TPI. I'm not 100% right now though because my dad is all dead set on keeping the car original even though I doubt it will ever be worth anything with how many of them there are.

If he really sticks to his guns I'm gonna yank the 305 and build it into a 334 stroker and dump TPI ontop. Unfortunately it will probably stay auto.

Sweet, congrats on the great deal. I think those have the 200-4r trans in them, kinda uncommon but decent trans. Same one that was in the GNs. I was looking at one of these near me, too. I think it was an '85 with just a small wrinkle in the LF fender, silver paint, perfect interior. I don't know how much he wants for it, but I'm sure it'll be more than 700. You just don't find them that cheap around here unless it's mostly in a box.

Alright alright I'll takes some sometime. I painted the wheels black, did an open element cleaner and cleaned up the vacuum shiot, o and I put 255/60's out back instead of the 215's.

I'm gonna do a shiftkit, megashifter, 1.5in eibach drop, shorty headers.

In the not so far future I wanna build a 327 with vortecs, 9:1, and a 10103lk lunati cam which is basically a comp 268 but a little different. O and ditch that computer controlled bs carb for a 600 holley and vacuum advance streetfire dist.
