My 208 t case took a crap but my 700r4 is perfect. I got a hold of a late 70's blazer thats about to be scrapped that has a good 350 transmission and a good 205 transfer case, but look pretty rusty on the surface of both. I know for a fact that these components work fine because a friend of mine owned that very blazer and spun the mains in the small block 400 that was in it. So, he wants to get rid of everything.

1. Would a 350 tranny/205 t case combo be better than a 700r4/208 combo?
2. Should I only swap one of the two?
3. Should I just find another 208?

THANKS!

85 Blazer; 5.7 L, 4" susp lift, 700R4 tranny, NP208 BUSTED t case

buy and adapter from advance adapters and put the 205 behind the 700r4. The spacer adapter is cheaper and allows more room for the cv joint on the front drive shaft. The output shaft adapter is a little more money and you have to have the tranny disassembled to install it but drive train length is shorter. a 1310 cv still just clears in the front.
