Called a local Kragen and they had rebuild kits for my 700r4 by a company named "Pioneer". Anyone know anything about the quality? They had a kit with new clutch plates for $167.00.

If I was going to rebuild a 700 (finicky trannies at best) I would be talking to tranny "experts" (those who have good reputations, and rebuild large quantities of them, and have customer experiences to prove their abilities).
