Seems the cabins loaded up rather quick this year. My name is Brent and I'm a namby pamby city folk, so I want a cabin or hotel dammit. (I like camping, like Rubicon, but not so much for BB)

Anyway, was looking at the Sleep Inn (IIRC) that's just down the road from MoabRim. I'd like to stay close and away from the main city. I plan on spending most of my time at MR.

What ya'll think? Or is there a big enough group someplace else that I can hang with for the most part. My fear is always missing out on something cool. I want to wheel Wed-Sun. :D

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to stay close by, but I want a bed and a shower every night too. :)

The only other cabins I have experience with are in Moab Valley RV Resort. There are nice but on the opposite side of Moab. This year we're bringing a camper and those spots still have openings.

Same here! Got to have a bed and a shower!! I actually have a cabin at Moab Rim from Sunday before until Thursday morning, then the kick me out. i'll need a place to move during BB. And like you Brent, I want to stay close by to Moab Rim or at least with another crowd there for Blazer Bash, so as not to miss any excitement.

If you can get 2 or more people interested, renting a house becomes a viable option. There are rental houses not terribly far from Moab Rim.

Plus if you keep an eye on things, inevitably there's at least 1 cabin that becomes available before it's all said and done.

I got a cabin at Canyonlands, and I think Muddysub is going to be tenting there. But it's in town. Conveniently across the street from McDonalds.
Canyon lands is a nice place generally where I stay

Anybody checked Airbnb's. If a couple people get into it together, might be worth it.

My wife is doing this in DC this year instead of hotels. Cheaper too.

Brent I might be interested in doing a house. But your probably gonna have to put up with mah children.

Hotel is cheaper then those house rental things. Plus the hotel you get free food and a pool and no cleaning or anything.

Too bad I'm currently selling my house down there.
I might be on board too. Me and my wife and maybe a small child or two if they wanna come. The wife just said I better get after finding a place to stay if I want to go this year.

I kinda know a guy with a townhome out by the arena but they are only 3 bedroom . I wish I had some contacts with rentals down there but everyone I know just has there own house.

That's because the people that own those rentals don't even live in Moab themselves. They're as much tourists as the renters.
