Good Bye Good Luck

Dude,
This just proves that most people on this board are results-oriented. They want to know why something does what it does and how. People (such as myself) sometimes press, and test what people post, because you can't just take everything you see/hear (especially on the net) as the truth. Instead of bailing out, post your technical information! If you know in your heart that you are being truthful about your engine combo, you would post your dyno sheets and other technical stuff about your engine. When you say you run 56-59 degrees of ign timing, well that makes me wonder if you are leading us on. We don't want to be lead.

Re: I Challenge you...

Ken,
Guilty as charged! I do apologize for earlier this week posting none-K5 related posts. We all know that opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one, and it's sometimes hard keep your opinons to your self. But honestly it's more disturbing to me anyway (there I go being opininated) to have someone try to repress my opinions, than it is to have someone disagree with them. What I'm saying is I'd rather have someone respectfully disagree with me, than to shut me up.
What I recommend to you is to ignore posts that are going to rub you the wrong way. I'll give you an example. If I'm looking down the list of posts and I see one with a title like "Diesel alternator question", I'll ignore it for obvious reasons. I know nothing about diesel set ups and I don't own one either. Sometimes when watching tv, I'll go through all the channels and find nothing but trash. I might turn off the tv, but I don't throw it in the trash either.
It's ultimately up to you if you prefer to log off for good or just ignore what you don't like. There's too many visitors here to get posts just the way you like them.
But honestly, don't take it the wrong way, but leaving now is like the kid who shows up with the football to play and as soon as he starts loosing, he grabs his ball and leaves. The ability to ignore, in some cases is a virtue. Good luck with your decision, as for me, I'm going to be more precatious about my posts.

Re: I Challenge you...

Ken,

Don't leave, nothing positive can come of this whole debacle if you do. For yourself or any of us, myself included. Sometimes in life, even with the best of intent, with no malice in thought, situations degrade past the point of being fruitful. With regard to this particular instance, very quickly, the situation became downright insulting. Lets move forward, past all the crap, in a positive direction. Together, all of us. I am sending you a personal message, please read it before you delete it...............sincerely.....js

Ken,

I will be the first to stand up and raise my hand and admit that I am an a$$hole. I am actually a kind person in RL...cept when I get pushed around like I am now at work...I pissed off my boss in about 2 seconds....and that was not fun.

I am not sure of the help you have given my sorry a$$ in the past but I know you have....and I need it...still learning. STAY. The problems I know are rather bad...just ignore them...its the do as I say don't do as I do thing...but come on...you have to see that in all boards and mailing lists there are bound to be some a$$holes...like me....but there is also a lot of good here....stay and keep the good going...remember the good always prevail.....

pcorssmit - Don't sweat the petty stuff -- Pet the sweaty stuff - That totally cracked me up. Anyways, here's the deal - you get what you pay for - and on this site, we're getting everyone's advice for free (except for you Steve, sorry). Some of us are expert mechanics and know the facts, and some of us barely know how to change the oil but know what works for us. Bottom line - if you know a better way or know the correct facts, be polite when correcting your fellow Blazerholic - life's too short to be pissed off.

Blazer72 I understand how you feel and why. I don't blame you for leaving at all. I like most was surprised when I found this site and realy enjoyed the topics/message board. Since the change to the new format more and more people have come, and this site(sorry Steve) has changed into some thing that I no longer enjoy comming to. I got tired of "dude thats cool!" posts and someone be a member after two months. I think that people forget that we all bust our butts trying to make our K5 better then they are right now. When you save the money to buy a 14 bolt full flotter, rebuild a new engine, find a new interior.... your correctly proud of what you've done and want to share it with others on this board so that they can learn something also. When someone s*its on your project and questions your number after all the hard work that you put into it you DO have the right to say "f*uk you". Ask Grim why he no longer stops to help at accidents, he got screwed for doing the right thing. I remember when Eagle got ran off also. We all open ourselves to feedback when we post a message whether it's good or bad is a crap toss but personal attacks should never be acceptable anytime. I've only had a problem with one person on this board and it had nothing to with Blazers, just personal choice differance. If you want to start crap with people and attack their education, spelling, lack of teeth, what ever please do us all a favor and take your ass over to AOL and go nuts. Blazer72 it's been nice.

Getsome

I know how you feel man. I used to be a veteran poster on Truckworld.com. It started out a year and a half ago as a good board to learn and get help. Last month when I left it had degenerated down to fighting, name calling, punks saying their truck was better, and no real technical stuff, more or less all little stuff. If you asked a technical question, you didn't get any help. Slowly all the old timers and knowledgeable people left and started showing up here or on ORC. So I decided to call it quits too. I could have just ignored the rude and stupid posts, but that wouldn't have left me with much to work with. So I left.
That being said, I don't see CK5 as going that route. Give it some time. Blow off the people who are stupid. There are over a thousand more people on here who are going to be cool and help you out. No matter what you do, there will always be some people on here who are @ssholes or just a little thick in the head. Don't give up on the rest of us because of them. This site will have to become totally worthless before I leave. Steve will have abandoned it by the time I go.
