I am sure there are about 9,000 of these sitting on shop floors and shelves as so many of your have went to a drop pitman or cross over. I bought a Redhead box..... and even though the stock pitman that was very tight on the old box shows no sign of wear, no matter how tight the pinch bolt is, you can see play at the sector shaft.

I would like to find a couple stock ones for cheap that no one cares about and put them on for testing. My assumption is that that splines are slightly undersize on this box and that the issue is still that not the pitman. Splines on the old box were perfect, splines on the old pitman, perfect. Hard to prove my point on 30 year old used parts without examples though.

If need to I will go buy a new replacement one but hoping to not have to do that since I know you all have them thrown in the junk heap in the garage or out back. :)

PM me if you have one you want to part with....

It's funny how I held on to a dozen boxes with the pitman arms for years and finally I just scrapped them a couple of months ago.
I did keep one or two.
Let me check and get back to you
