i am getting ready to buy a K5 and i have the chance to buy one for $1000
the body is in good condition (except for a dent in the drivers door)
it has a 350/465/208/10 bolts 6 inch lift and 35" BFG muds. the frame is cracked where the steering box mounts and where the engine cross member mounts.
the engine was just rebuilt and it hasnt even been started. they rebuilt it in the truck and didnt do a very clean job. but i have a 383 i am swapping in it anyway.
would it be worth it to get this or should i keep looking

Sounds like a good deal to me. The weld in plates that fix the crack near the steering box and crossmember aren't that expensive (my steering box brace cost me $300 installed). Depends on what you want it for. If you are wanting a 1-ton eventually, do you feel like swapping axles or do you want to wait and get one with axles already swapped? Personally I'd go for it, if everything was in working condition (minus the motor)

sweet deal! I'd get it! make sure that with the 6in lift they lengthened the drive shafts. Also be on the lookout for anything mickey moused.
