Good Deal?

A friend of mine has a 2000 chevy 3500 cc dually 4x4 454 5speed 4.10 gears 88,000 miles with power everthing. He bought the truck new and has kept good care of it but no longer has need of it. The truck is in great shape it has a few scratches hear and there but nothing major. He offered it to me for $8500 is this a good deal? All i here about now days is diesels so will this tow a full sized trail rig? I know that gas mileage will suck but i don't have to drive it every day. Are there any know problems to look out for with these trucks? Thank in advance for all of your info.

I don't know whether it's a good price or not, especially don't know prices where you are, but it's a good tow rig and will definitely tow a full size rig. Yes, fuel mileage will be low, but if you're not using it a lot it' hard to justify the added cost of a diesel. This truck will tow better than the early diesels anyway.
