Too many what-ifs? What if the pistons are .030 and the block cleans up at .060? What if the cam isn't right for your application. If everything works out you save $350. If it doesn't work out perfect, you don't win.
You can minimize your risk by meeting the seller at an independent machine shop and get their opinion on the block condition.
Look up the cam# and see if it will work for you.

exactly... i went with a smaller cam than i wanted as i wanted idle-5k power vs 1500-5500 rpm powerband...
