Good forums for finding hotrod LS parts?

I was just going to mention Brett!

Edelbrock is making a few parts for them...heads, intakes, cams...blowers, etc.

Ya I signed up there last night. And went on a reading tear.

By God I've got an 80mm GT45 sitting in my garage right beside a blow through 1050 Dominator. I've been given a whole world of new bad thoughts.

Pics of said monster. Bare long block, yes. Retarded potential, yes.

I get the 823 heads are the newest LS3 casting number. But the block number I haven't been able to nail down as to original application. Is just like to know exactly what I'm working with.

they do say aluminum blocks don't like as much boost . so plan for that if its what I think it is in the pics.

Yes it's all aluminum. The LS9 blocks are reinforced for the boosted application. And have piston oil cooling nozzles. That's why I'm trying to decode that block number for sure. But that said by the looks of reading last night there's a metric **** ton of boosted standard LSx engines running around. I'm not worried either way. Just would like to know if it's the better block or not.

You wouldn't happen to know what it was removed from would you? I can pull up the internal info through GM service info. You wouldn't happen to have the supercharger with the ls9 would you?

It's not an original application removal. It's a 418 crate stroker built by Mast Motorsport in the states. So they could have used anything.

I wish I had the LS9 blower cooler package. I foresee a much simpler large turbo set up in my future though.
