I am looking for a good set of 3.5 inch speakers for the front. Have some rockford fosgates but they don't seem to have any mids. Are there any 3.5's out there that can give me some bass?

Otherwise what is the best way to mount some 6x9's or other size speakers in the front of the track?

Pretty much anything below a 6" eliminates getting bass out of it. Just not enough surface area. This is why they push bass blockers so much for smaller speakers.

You can fit a fairly large speaker in the center dash opening but only one. Most folks just use the dash speakers for highs and slight mids.

In order to run 3 sets of speakers-- wouldn't i have to run an amp also? As far as i know there's only wiring for 2 sets on my headunit.

The big front speaker would either replace the two small front speakers or yes, would require an amp.

Personally I'd just run some good small speakers for highs and some mids up in the dash and then some nice 6.5" or so speakers somewhere else for the lows...wait...that's what I already do.

I found some infinity kappa 3.5s on sale, picked those up and put some Pioneer 6x9's under the ashtrays in the back.....works very well!

That looks pretty good there-- I take it there was nothing in the way when you cut the hole to fit the speaker?

Dunno, was set up this way when I bought it. I had to replace the stock dash speakers as the 6x9's were deafening the kids in the back seat when I was listening to the radio.
