I can get 2 New in the Crate GM 14ff w/ locker, not sure of the gear ratio. But these are brand spanky new, never mounted, etc. For $750 each, no neg. on the price. I dont really need them, but thought bought buying one to save for rainy day. lol.

For brand new stuff that's not bad if you consider the price of rebuilding, regearing, and buying a locker for one.

Even if it's a Detroit Equipped CUCV axle with 4.56's, that's pretty steep. I paid $75 for one in good condition with an open carrier, and lots of people get them for free. Rebuilding one doesn't cost that much. If you watch the classifieds you can find locked, geared, and disked axles for half that. $750 will buy you a complete K30 if you look hard enough.

Well, I couldn't find any around here for $100 but I bought mine for $200 with 4.10 gears, open carrier, with new bearings and good seals. But, most of the junkyards near me are wanting anywhere from $200-$600 for a 14ff depending on what it has in it. If it was disk and was 4.10 or 4.56 then I would say it might be worth it. Eventhough it's not a bad deal, it's not one that i'd be willing to shell out some dough for

If they are CUCV axles with 4.56 gears and Detroits, than it's not a bad deal...not a steal by any means, but not horrible. You would have a hard time buying a used 14FF, installing a Detroit, and replacing all of the bearings for that price, of course assuming that was the plan.

With that said I bought a complete and running, though not roadworthy, K30 for that price. I haven't checked recently, but as of a couple years ago most places would sell a 14FF for $100-$150.

I agree definitely not a steel... but however being new.. could do someone good...

my 14bolt is from 1978 and works great....

I can get a 14bolt around here for $30-$60
so add gears and detroit and you will be up to that price making that one a good deal....

my detroit was $475 and I had 4.56's already and my truck came with the 14bolt.......
