I'm looking for a good OE type replacement radiator for my truck. Rock auto lists a Spectra (a name I know and trust) for $285 shipped. Advance auto lists a "ToughOne or Ready-Rad Radiator" (Never heard of) for the same money. Pictures on both sites show a traditional brass, side tank radiator, like I have and want my new one to be. Neither site asks for dimensions on the radiator, were there no options on a big block one ton? The radiator in my truck is roughly 36X24 and is a four core.

Any one had any dealings like this they can offer and advice from?

Also, what are the little rubber things the radiator mounts/sits on called? And who sells them?

ReadyRad has been around forever. They are good radiators, on par with Spectra. My dad has been dealing with them forever (he owns a radiator shop). Are you sure that the new one is brass?

I got a Spectra CU730 and it is keeping my 454 happy in my 1985 k30. Fit well and haven't had any issues with it.

Honestly, either one is probably good. Brass/copper is easier to repair and is going to be able to be more than adequate for the job you want it to do.

I went with the one from Advance. $253 shipped after a 30% coupon code. New radiator, upper and lower hoses, t-stat and gasket, coolant, and a new cap is all gonna cost about $325. That includes polyurethane radiator mounts on ebay for $20 for the set.
