Good source for heavy duty heat shrink?

Cold shrink is better for that app. 3M makes it you can get either cold shrink or high quality heat shrink from aircraft suppliers.

Daniel,

Assuming you don't need a large piece, I would contact a local Electrical Contractor, they would be more inclined to sell some shorter pieces than a electrical supply house would. If you don't find what you are looking for, PM me I probably have some short pieces at work I could sell you.
