Good springs for returning to stock height

So I got a new job that's downtown, and the parking garage has a horrible clearance of only 6'7! My 73 Blazer has 33s, a 1" body lift to accommodate the 8L90 transmission, and the 2"front/3"rear lift springs from ORD. So of course it's about an inch and a half too tall to fit in the garage at work. Looks like I need to swap to springs that are stock height. Does anyone know some decent stock height springs I should look at? I'm looking for ride comfort over any kind of heavy-duty hauling or towing capability, and but something that will be responsive enough to handle traffic in downtown Austin. I went onto Rock Auto, but they have about 10 choices, and I'm not an expert when it comes to springs. Thanks!
 
x2 swap to 31" tires .

cheeper / less work / still play later with 33" tires bolted on for fun .

why change something that works driveline / steering / ride quality wise when you can just bolt / unbolt tire rim combo .

x2 on sdspring.com good people .

go 3 leaf front stock replacement and 4-5 leaf rear .

# 22-402 = front 3 leaf

# 22-625 = 4 leaf rear 2110 lbs per pack load
or
# 22-403 = 5 leaf rear 2350 lbs per pack load . . . my pick if me . helps saggy butt blazer / burban problem .

dont forget new u-bolts and possible shocks / driveline angle rework maybe .

I’m in Waco, if you do downsize I’d be interested in your springs. I have stock stuff if you really need it but I think you’d be better off going new, mine have negative arch in the front :haha:

Stock front springs should have a negative arch, no? :dunno:

It's a whole lot easier to change or deflate tires versus changing springs. Losing 2" of tire diameter will only gain you 1" of roof clearance, so be sure to measure twice before you tear through that garage.

If you do want to redo the suspension, I bought my stock replacement springs from here:

I have no idea, I just figured mine were sagging due to the negative arch maybe they aren’t worn out!:pimp:
 
I like beags idea... Cheap daily beater. Probably be cheaper than converting back to stock
 
It's pretty much the best idea. Buy a cheap beater, no worries about lift height, or door dings, or it being broke into. And better fuel mileage to boot. A 15 year old car would only cost like 100 bucks a year for liability. And you will keep miles and wear and tear off your pride and joy.

Never mind that we would have to notch your man card once for stock springs.

Actually don't have to park in that garage. Plenty of other places to park around downtown until a tiny beater can't be procured.
 
Move closer to work and walk.

I ditched the $1,000 commuter car. My only vehicle is my K5 and it only gets used a few times a month when I absolutely need my own vehicle. Lyft fills a lot of gaps. I lost 60 lbs walking 45 min each way every day and got back to just under 200 lbs.

And, I got to keep the K5 as my focus. When I had that second car the K5 got parked and didn't get attention. My kids love that K5, "the yellow truck."
