looking for a good condition/working q-jet with electric choke

also looking for alum dual plan manifold for sbc with q-jet spread bore pattern...

I have a good q-jet, but it's not electric choke.

I do have en Edelbrock intake though, Performer version for SBC w/ q-jet.

$40 plus shipping for the intake.

so, does the q-jet then have the heat coil style choke that bolts to the mani? i belive they make an electric choke conversion... how much for the q-jet?

are all the holes and threads good on the mani? thanks,

jason

what year range heads on the motor ? makes a diffrence on the intake.

55-86 style or

87-95 efi style heads .

i got a super low miles edelbrock performer for the 87-95 style with egr ports.

No, the q-jet is manual choke for use with a cable. I don't know much about q-jets so I don't know if the electric conversion will work with that?

The manifold is in good working condition, all threads are fine as far as I know, I used it for a couple years and then switched to a holley pattern RPM intake when I swapped the heads, cam, and headers. It probably needs a cleaning but it's in good shape.

I've got a very nice Edelbrock AFB-type carb with electric choke and it works good. Its even got the spacer/adaptor to bolt onto a spreadbore intake, too.

How's $125 shipped to your door?

well, i'm currently running an edelbrock and ditching it for the q-jet.

not familiar with the AFB type...

i'm currently running a poorly matched set up from the PO which is a performer RPM and a 1406. the 2 aren't suppost to be used together, plus the rpm intake is a poor choice for a plain jane GM crate in my opinion :dunno:

i'll do some reading on the AFB, but i really like my q-jets...

I love q-jets too but this particular Edelbrock I have here really opened my eyes with the simplicity of starting and driving. Its a shame I removed it from the SBC when I dismantled the Sub. The carb sits in my shop on a shelf collecting dust.

Sorry, PM sent to the OP. I have a habit of hitting the QuickReply button on the last post to post something...
