practically new tires

goodyear wrangler mtr 37x12.5x15
5 tires for 1000

I'd be stepping up from a 35" tire.

Thoughts?

They'll be the old tread design, so they're probably fairly old (at least 5 years IIRC, maybe 10-12).

Jeep guys love them because they stopped making the 37's in a 15" wheel. I had a set on my Blazer and was super happy with them.

That's the only thing I was worried about... Was the age. And a little on the tire/fender spacing

last 4 of the dot series of #'s is the date code.

ex: 2005 = 20th week of 2005

ex: 1211 = 12th week of 2011

the old old stuff is 3 #'s

ex: 128 = 12th week of 1998

ex: 519 = 51st week of 1999

so keep this in mind.

They are from 2005/2006. Supposedly they have been stored indoors. Anyway here are a few pictures. The first picture really turned me off, it looks like the corners have significant amount of wear. That coupled w/ the age and the size 15" is making me think twice. Really wanted to move up to a 17" rim. My rear axle isn't exactly centered. Pretty sure I've just talked myself out of buying these

They look like they're down to 50% in some spots? I'd offer $700 and wouldn't pay more than $800. Much more and you're getting into new tire range.

I'd buy them for 7-800. New I just got 4 for that price. If all five are decent with no rot I'd offer that for them.
