Goodyear MT/R's

I got the 35x12.5x15's from wally world (Wal Mart) for $178 each. Really good tires. Not super in mud, but by no means horrible. Best MT on wet pavement I've seen. Killer in the rocks and dirt. Good enough to help crater two open ten bolt rears because of too much traction. I'd buy another set.

BTW im planning on the 37x12.5x15 size. cobystephens- i priced the mtr's at that americas in greshm too. they want about $234 per tire so all together just shy of $1G. I drive it probably 3-4 days a week, as i have a more economical DD, but its pretty much a part time DD. But i will wheel it as much as possible as well. I was originally thinking of getting swampers but they dont last very long. i was planning on 36" tsl's because i dont want to trim my fenders, but i will if necessary. how long have your swampers lasted on a daily drivers?

I have also heard that Iroks suck for DD. this is just what i have heard and dont have any experience with it. BUT ive heard they kick ASS off road in all terrains.

I am currently running 37x12.50x15 goodyear mt/r's on my k5, and couldnt be happier with them. They are definitely softer than bfg's, so the street life will be less. I have probably around 15-20k on mine, and I see myself getting maybe 10-12k more out of them. I could have rotated them more often, and the detroit in the rear didnt help their life either. But, I am impressed overall with how they are wearing. Offroad they are awesome. They do ok in the mud (they dont suck like everyone else says), and the do amazing in dry dirt/rocks. They really really like to grip rocks! I have had a sidewall puncture on one of my mt/r's, but it wasnt from wheeling. Some jackass stuck an ice pick through the sidewall while I was at work. I got my tire place to put a patch on the sidewall, and tube it and I run it as a spare now. Anyways, I highly recommend these tires. Great tire and worth the extra money imho.
BTW- here is a pic of mine... These may be the last pics of my blazer in full form. Its going under the knife and will soon have no top, doors, or tailgate, and have a 10 point cage...:D

I ran MTR's on my Bronco in a 35x12.50-15 and they far outperformed the BFG's that I had run for years prior to the MTR's. As a result, I got a set of MTR's for my Blazer that is still in build stage. As an aside, a couple of tire places that I go to, one being some really good folks, said that the BFG quality has tanked in the last few years. These are independent shops who sell whatever you want to order and I don't believe there is any kind of brand loyalty thing going on.

I love my MTR's they have great traction in the rocks
