Got a F**d question.

I'm gonna say 95, but I'm not 100% on that. I know 1 year before the P/Stroke was out there was a 7.3 turbo diesel, I thought those were 94. & anything ealier than that is naturally aspirated

Like everything else with Ford, it was really a mid-year thing - 1994½ to be precise. The Powerstroke name was only applied to '95s and newer though, the 94.5s had a little chrome "Turbo Diesel" nameplate underneath the F-x50 badging. My buddy's Dad has one, one of Ford's many midyear collector's items.

Ditto Pugsley. I had a '94 pstroker. For the 94's you can look at the plastic cover on the engine. It has a flip up lid that says direct injection on it. The non-powerstrokes do not have this.

1993 IT WAS JUST A 7.3L BUT IN 1994 MID-YEAR SOME WERE A TURBO 7.3L AND THE LATER ONES WERE THE POWER STROKES BUT I WOULD NOT PUT MONEY ON THAT.
