Got a K5 again

Well I finally got a K5 again... it has been almost six months since I sold my '89, and now I have the '82 6.2L that John in San Jose,CA was selling. The TH700R4 is on its way out, and the interior is trashed- but I'll get around both those problems in the near future. Now I'll really get to play when the Colorado K5 group gets together for the next trailride.

Hey Kennedy thats great Im trying to set up a run towards the end of Mar towards stodard wells or Panamint .You might not want to get rid of the 7oor4 I just had mine done up at Atech trans (also did Mike Sullivans)it feels great and its built to withstand any thing (except a big block)I blew the seals out of my old one towing a suburban up Cajon not to smart but oh well .

Are you going to keep the diesel engine or swap a gas one in? The blazer was around 1700$ right? I hope to find a diesel blazer someday soon....

Yea!! Another Diesel!!! Save the 700R4...it CAN work. First suggestion for you is to find a Stanadyne dealer

Theres less chance of messing that tranny up with a 24,000 GVWR cooler!!!

Next get under the hood. Take the air breather off. You see that thingy on top of the intake? EGR valve...its nice to be able to touch the throttle and blow a big ball of black smoke in someones face, but unhook it anyway and plug that line!! It helps alot.

Find out what kinda glow plugs you have. if they AREN'T AG 60s...REPLACE EM.
