I've been wanting a Harley for some time now, but haven't been able to make up my mind on exactly what kind of bike I wanted
But earlier this summer I stumbled on a really clean looking chopper in a parking lot, 200miles from home...
I haven't been so much into "modern" choppers earlier, since I think they often tend to be somewhat vulgar in their design.
But this one had a really clean look :cool1:

I took some pictures and was planning on trying to get a hold of the owner,
and ask him more about it, so that maybe I could try to build something similar myself.

But I soon realized that I haven't got either the time nor the skills to make it look good.
I can fab somewhat, but I have no feeling for design (as you can see in my build thread:doah:)

But to my surprise I later found the very same bike in an ad on internet.
So I've spent half the summer pondering what to do...
And last week I finally bought it:D

I won't have money for food this winter, but that's a small sacrifice

Oh, you wanted pics?

And no, the lawn doesn't need mowing, it isn't knee high yet ;)

I realize now this thread isn't very offroad related, so maybe it should have been in the lounge...:doah:

Anyone else into Harleys here?

Several Harley and riders on here.

Dig how it's more old school chopper and not the new overly designed crap. Any idea of it's lineage?

Beans and rice Baby, you'll make it!!

nice ride :waytogo:

Thanks guys!

It's custom built by Anders Göth in 2005
He is a well known Swedish bike builder, who came in 7th place in the World championship in Sturgis in 2008 with this bike:

The one I have doesn't have nearly as much custom built stuff though.
I've asked him about it and he built the bike for his wife to ride on one summer.

But after that the owner before me has made some changes to the tank, seat, and paint, and some other stuff.

Here's a write up of some of the stuff on it:
Frame: "Northern spirit" by Hogtech (Sweden)
Fork: "Järnhästen" by Moheda (Sweden)
Engine: HD 2005 stock 1340 evo
Gear: 6-speed revtech
trans: BDL 3" belt drive
tank: stretched sportster tank
Front brakes: ISR
rear brakes: OMP gear brake

I'm having some problems with the revtech gear box.
Sometimes it gets stuck in 3rd or 4th gear, and there's no way of shifting up,
and I have to kick it pretty hard to down shift...
I have checked pawl adjustment, and it seems to be fine...
And the linkage isn't binding.

Any ideas?

here is mine. old skool. 93" panhead. kick only. reversed shift. its an ex nevada state police bike. one of the only bikes i have ridden that will scare me. its been fairly dependable for what it is. you just have to clean up after it alot.

your bike is sick. i'm not really into higher end bikes, but i would ride that.

nice scooter, only thing that would make it cooler in my mind is if it was a shovel, or better yet a knuckle ;)

I love the sweep on that thing. When I was young I loved the choppers. I still do but have gravitated to the squat, fat bikes. Here is mine.
