I've seen hi-lift jacks mounted on the tailgate or rear bumper... the rest, I'd either use a bed-mounted toolbox or you can go cheap and mount some LARGE ammo cans to the floor.

x2 on the ammo boxes. I'm gonna put a few in my bed. They're super cheap.

i welded an ammo can in the back of my jimmy so i could lock my wallet and stuff while i ride my dirt bike. p.s. i would love to see some pics of your truck

Truck tool box.

i think i have that same box works good for me (now long story) but i think it is the was to go just snap it closed and that is it
my brother kids me on the only buggy with a trunk ;)

I have been kicking around the idea of running one of these. They are made by craftsman and have a couple different types/sizes. They go from ~$170-$270.

P.S.: Craig or Smartass: What did the box run you?

Wow, I really like that...I may have to look into those once the important stuff on the K5 is taken care of.

I forgot to add in that I did some quick measuring when I found them (when I say that I have been kicking around the idea.....I mean for over a year now :haha:) and they won't fit behind the wheelwell like in the pic. They are going to have to go on the side. IIRC they were not too far off though so one might be able to get creative.

Craig and Mr. Smartass...

How are you guys securing that box to the floor?
I don't know about Justin but I was able to use the three bolts that originally mounted the tripod-style spare tire carrier (which wasn't there when I bought the truck). The bolts were just threaded down into the fixed nuts just waiting to bolt something down. All I had to do was drill three matching holes in the bottom of the box.

I just made my own tie down points with some hinges from a hardware store, and used cable tensioners to go from the handles to the floor.

Like these.

I don't think that was the normal price, it was on sale if I remember right. But it wasn't much more than that.

Got that same box, not the fancy mount though. Just drilled 3/8 in holes in each corner through the floor and presto, mounted.

The rear seat will be coming out directly, and I'll be bolting it to the floor behind the driver's seat, probably using large wingnuts for easy removal. It's strapped in for the moment because I don't like not having tools when I drive GM vehicles, and didn't get a chance over the weekend to find some flat steel to go under the floor to reinforce the bolt points.

Army mortar round ammo box. Got a 50-cal from a friend, set it down in the garage, looked at the big one, and thought "Wtf am I using this little thing for?!?!?" and grabbed that big bugger.
