I've got two D44 fronts, and I'd be willing to let you have 'em both for a laptop like I described.

One is complete and ready to run - 8-lug outers with brand new wheel bearings and seals, 3.73 gears.

The other has no hubs/spindles/rotors, but has everything else including flattop knuckles and 4.10 gears.

Between the two of them you'd have a crossover/histeer-capable front with the gearing you're looking for.

Sounds pretty good. Do you have any pictures? I have a HP Laptop that I bought Christmas '08. Its a 2GB Ram, 1.4mHz Dual Core. Its got the wireless and the DVD/R and all that jazz. Windows Vista.

Here's the 3.73. The wheel bearings, races, and seals are all new (0 miles) Timken. I was going to run this axle before I got sent to the east coast on a two-year boondoggle and came back with Dana 60's.

The tie rod is off, but I've got it.

Here's the parts axle. It does have the flattops and 4.10 gears.

There are 8 teeth that have small chips on the outer edge. The chips are not in the wear pattern, and I'm not sure why they are there (I never ran this axle) - it looks like they maybe touched the diff cover. Everything turns freely and there's no chunks or grinding I hadn't pulled the cover before today and didn't know about the teeth.
