Got me a new towrig!!

I've got a heavily modified 1998.5 24V Dodge Ram Cummins 4x4 as a tow rig. Those 33's should fit fine on your truck. Check out the leveling spacers from revtek or tuffcountry or the skyjacker D25 leveling coils, each run about $150 and make the rig look sweet and you can run 35's no problem.

Cool!
I have a '98 12V quadcab somewhat modified. Went with the Skyjacker D25 coils so I could run 285/75-16s on 8" wheels. For the price I do recommend the SJ coils, I was going to use the TRex coils until I found they were $400 for the STD coils and $500 for the HD coils. I have a 200lb RanchHand bumper and the SJ coils are doing just fine.

For shocks I have Bilstein 7100s on the front and 5150s on the rear.
I did notice my fuel mileage has gone down with the 33s by 1-1.5mpg however. Running 3.54s and 47RE trans.

Good looking rig. A buddy of mine has a stock 2004 like yours. He's running 35" BFG All Terrains. You shouldn't have a problem with 33's...

Ditto that. I had 315 Goodyear MTR on the stock rims. No problems

wow Dan, you've got a rare jewel there with that 98 12V QC. Sometimes I wish I had a 12V so I would quit worrying about the VP44 reliability issues but mine's still going strong @ 102K miles (knock on wood) :)

I'm running 285/75-16s on 8" wheels with 3.54s and NV4500. They're a wee bit much for heavy mountain towing, wish I had 4.10s or a NV5600 6sp. My '85 K20 rocks with 315/75-16s and 4.10s :D

Yeah, it was a really nice truck. I bought it a year ago Feb, but 4 days later a lady ran a stop sign, spun me out and rolled the truck into the ditch...totalled. Bought it back from the insurance company, sawed the roof off and put in a cage for the summer. Over christmas shutdown I installed a standard ext cab from a '95 and swapped over my interior- dash, seats etc.

I bought a motorhome with a Cummins and P7100 pump. Has 137K on it and the P-pump lost #5 cylinder from low fuel flow. So basically they can all fail, just keep an eye on your lift pump pressure. Mine had a bad feeder pump from the fuel tank(electric) and I replaced it with a 97GPM red holley. I think the bad feeder pump caused the lift pump to starve and when the P-pump popped a retainer on a piston while drawing a vacuum  .

I wish I had 3.73s or 4.10s as well.
