well is been about 6 weeks since I towed my burb to the shop that did my trans. Bothwell automotive here in Torrance is a shop I have delt with for 22 years and is a great shop. I told them take there time cause I was in no hurry for it. I got my tax return finally so I called on it a week or so ago and they said we will have it ready this week. 1500 bucks with 1 yr waranty. my bud had a guy that would performance build it for about the same but I had to pull and install it. not having the space to pull it I oppted to have Bothwells do it and I did not have to do a thing.
I am very happy to have it back, trans shifts good and positive. looks like I will be parking my old 70' for a bit now. as I missed driving the burb. my old 70' needs a good resto but that will be a long time away. I dont know if any of you remember the trans went on me on the way to Gorman a while ago. here are a few pics.
