Got my K5 27 years ago today, June 6

27 years ago today(6/6) I bought my K5 Blazer.
So yes this is a one owner Blazer.
Its hard still for me to believe it has survived all these years and turned out like this.

I got my 81 G10 van in 1990,dont recall exactly what month,but I think it was in the spring going by a photo thats dated I took shortly after I bought it...wish it looked as nice as your truck......its looking like its sat in a boneyard after being unregistered since I got my '82 K2500 in late 2003...

It has some serious rot holes in places now and had more before I patched them up back when I still was driving it--when I got it it was only 9 years old and only needed paint,was solid as a rock......my '82 is looking as bad too,same deal when I got that,it was probably the most rust free GM truck I had out of a dozen or more...time isn't kind to vehicles here,especially when they sit any length of time...

I usually keep my vehicles a long time,but the van is the one that I've kept the longest...most of my other vehicles I kept for 8-10 years,and by the time I sold them,they needed too much rust repair to justify keeping as far as I was concerned--I hate welding rotted vehicles back together..I'm not very good at painting either..

Do you have a pic from the first year you bought it for comparison? I'm betting it's in nicer shape now than it was then!

I will have to go back and look. I lifted 2 days after I got it. So it has been like I restored it the whole time I have owned it.
