well i did my auto to manual swap this weekend (465/205) . i started sat morning about 1000 to 1700 then went out for some beer. sun morning back at 800 everything went well untill at 1400 everything was done, i thought, i bled the lines (hydro) but had no clutch we bled that thing for what seemed like an hour just thought the master cyl. was air locked .
then we set around to think, then checked the rod on the slave cyl. it was to short(this happen to anyone else?) so after making a few we found the right size turned the key fired her up and everthing worked great :D except you have to hold it in 3rd or it will jump out of gear but i will fix that in a few weeks no big deal.
sorry have'nt gottin my pics back yet. :D

Sounds good!

Never heard of the rod being too short, as far as I know there was only one size.

*Perhaps* S10's or some other application used a similar slave, and assuming this is an aftermarket slave, they may use the same slave cylinder for multiple apps, only changing the rod length. Seen that with the masters, but not the slaves.

thats what i thought but went back up to the parts store checked them from the 1500's to the 3500's all were the same :dunno: i had the right one but for some strang reason mine was about a inch to 1 1/2 to short to work with my set up.

ya i sold the whole package to a friend but he has a 208 that he might let go.

Thanks. I have a 208 already. I transfered the complete running gear from a 88 into my 78. A 241 would be nice because of the SYE kits.
