Got myself a little gift today

I've gatta ask...Why hobart? I'm not doggin on them, I'm actually looking into getting a welder soon, and want tons of facts and opioions to base my decision on.

thats actually the exact same welder i was going to buy. from all the reviews and talking to people, it looks to be a great little welder for having around. cant beat the price too.

i got it because it was the best one that i could order from my work and charge it to my tool account. and it was name brand so i thought hey why not. so far it seems good. real easy setup and can use both 4 inch spools and 8 inch spools

got to try it out last night. welds real good. made a welding cart out of a old shopping cart i had around.

That the one I've got too. I love mine! I can't weld worth a ****, but that's not the welder's fault. :haha:

As you know, practice practice practice. You will get there.

I got the Hobart 187 and its not bad for the money. Its no where near as nice as the Miller 252 I have at work though. check out the cart I built for mine.

how much you think a cart like this could sell for on EBAY? its 100% stainless except for the rear wheels.

Thats a nice cart. I wish I had a shop I could call my own where I could actually leave something lol. My 140 lives in the dining room of my apartment right now...

I bought the exact same welder ~4 years ago from TSC. I love it for being a 120V unit. Cant beat the portability. My friend and I welded my whole rollcage with it, and I have used it for other repairs. Still works fine.

i love this welder. i made up some shackle brackets for my brothers jeep today with it. welds beautifully.:D

I've heard that Hobarts are made by Miller....anyone know the truth to this? Sweet welder though. Got the same one at work...never had a problem with it.

Yes Hobart is made by Miller. Hobart is more directed to the light duty garage fabricator, miller is more of the Professional series for shop use.
