came out from work today and found an awful sight, well not too bad for me. I park in a large gravel lot with no marked lanes so we all kinda line up when we park, seems whoever was parking behind me didn't judge very well and slammed right into my hitch, which had the ball sticking out. from the looks of the damage to the car they hit hard and then backed up off the ball mount, there was coolent and plastic bumper pieces and radiator guts all over. it was a midsize car with a big front grill. the owner was waiting for a tow and apologized for scratching my hitch! the car never even made it to the bumper when it was killed by my K5! i just laughed and left.......another reason to have a K5!

That is sweet. Back in high school I had a '79 Blazer with 6 inches and 35's. This punk kid in a station wagon ran up under the back of my truck when he wasn't looking where he was going. It caused $800 damage to his car and completely ripped one of the fenders off. The ONLY thing it did to my truck was bend the tip of one of my tailpipes. Got some pliers and 10 seconds later it was as good as new. Gotta love it.

Chevy good...Ford bad

A guy here at school was trying to parallel park and ran his honda under my front winch bumper. The reciever hitch went right into his hood. Needless to say his car was pretty messed up and the ol' blazer never budged.

I love these stories.

Have you driven OVER a Ford lately?

Exact same thing happened to me in town with my pickup about a month ago. Bent the hell out of their front bumper, didn't do anything to my truck. And people always ask why I leave that ankle biter hitch in there.

I had a Toyota Celica go under a 74 I had and caused $3000.00 in damage to her car and a red smudge on my chrome bumper. We got stuck together in rush hour traffic and we were in the fast lane and she started locking up the brakes. I just waited for a break in traffic and pulled into the right lane an onto the shoulder. Left some awesome skids. The lady wasnt sure I even noticed she hit me. Only reason I did is she had her cruise on and it was trying to make the blazer accelerate. Rubbing compound took the smudge off and bumper shined even better than before.

This was in a parking lot?!! That's what he gets for not paying attention. It's funny that nothing happened to your rig, but it's disturbing that this person can't pay enough attention to park his car. The same negligiance on a freeway or highway could result in inocent people being hurt or even killed. Sorry for the outburst, I drive at least two hours a day to and from work and it bugs the hell out of me when people can't concentrate behind the wheel.

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

Last year when i was a senior in high school, some girl tried to wedge her escort in the 7' of space (that I left purposly

) between my truck and the "no parking here to corner sign". When I got out of class she was waiting for me to move my truck so she could get out. She actually parked under my truck. The hood had a huge gash accros it from where she drove under my license plate. A pair of pliers and 4 seconds later my plate was bent back. New hood for the Escort, her fault!

Sounds like I should leave my hitch in!! It may come in handey in more ways than one

At school this guy with a VW bug ran into my hitch but I didn't have the ball on. It still didn't do anything to my truck of course, but it messed up his hood pretty bad. Anoher time a lady in a corolla ran into e with my ball on. It made a huge hole in the radiator and messed up the grill, bumper and hood.. I had the ball on with a 3" drop bracket in the hitch that time. She got out and saw she chipped a little paint off my hitch and said "Oh this is terrible" and gave me $50 to get the hitch repainted.

Ford- Firestone On Road Disaster

Ok my dad owns a landscapeing company and one day his workers were heading back too the yard where dad keeps the trucks, and this guy comes flying past them cuts in front of them and the traffic light changes too yellow and the guy slams on his brakes, and it should be noted that the truck was full off 3000 pounds of stuff with a trailer full of lawn mowers, anyway the guy gets his butt smashed half way too heck and the only damage too the truck was a VERY small dent in the front bumper and a cracked headlight from the impact with the guys rear spoiler.
Ahhh the power off Chevy trucks

my dad rear-ended some guy in my old truck 11 years ago. the light turned yellow and my dad thought the guy in a Renault in front of him would run the light, so he floored it. the guy stopped at the last minute. dad ran right in to him doing about 55-60mph.
the guys rear bumper was where the back seat used to be, and the back seat popped out the rear window. the truck on the other hand had some plastic taillight remains on the bumper, and the bumper moved about 1/2 inch up on the passenger side, thats was it!!! thank God no one was hurt.
our insurance company paid the guy something like $3500 for the damage.
my dad said it felt like hitting a large speed bump at speed. screw all those plastic fenders, Supplement Restraint Systems, collapsable hoods,....etc. nothing beats steel and good seatbelts. i love old GM trucks!!

My K5 has killed two toyotas in less than a year. Last Feb. I was sitting at a light at the bottom of a large snow covered hill and a girl came down with her brakes locked up. I saw her coming so I got on the gas but she still hit me pretty hard. It scratched my hitch mount and pushed her bumper through her radiator. The second one was this past Friday night at another red light. This guy's right fender, door, and hood were buckled, his grill and bumper were crushed and his windshield was cracked. I couldn't even find any marks on my hitch. I love my K5, I'll never drive anything else.

I know this isn't a Blazer story.. But I remember my Dad's old 73 Gmc 3/4 4x4 pickup.. This thing was a beast. He was on his way to work and as he was making a left hand turn into his workplace.. a lady in a toyota tercel ran right underneath the rear end.. No damage to good ol Dad's battlewagon.. but the tercel was DOI Dead on Impact.
So my old man.. he paints a small "rising sun" flag on his drivers door like american WWII pilots put on their planes after shooting down Japanese Zero's . lol.. and my dad hung onto that truck as long as he could .. til the cancer rust ate it away.. Damn NJ winters. !!!!

It's better to have it and not need it. Than to need it and not have it !
