Winter has just started. We have a minor 1st coat up north... enough to make my day on Wednesday a huge pain.

Dropping off a truck and returning home: Should take an hour at the longest from entering the property to leaving.

Actuality: 2 hours winching up a small hill. :( 45 minutes walking 1/4 mile through the woods in the snow with house shoes with holes in them to grab the battery out of my Blue Blazer cause the winch drained the Crew Cab. 35 minutes trying to turn around and finding out that something internal blew in my T-case, abandoning the trailer and trying to make it back out to the road in 2wd after dark.

I even lost the sense of feeling in me feet for a short while. Sometimes it amazes me; the amount of effort it takes to simply drive up a hill. Even with the winch pulling and straining and all 4 tires digging down to ground, it felt like it would take less effort to stop the earth's rotation than just drive up a fricken hill.

It has always amazed me how hard it is to pull a trailer through snow. Almost got a Scout stuck with a rear locker and a front posi , just pulling a pickup bed trailer with a fridge in it. Took me about 20 minutes to rock the cotton picker out of the ruts I made.

I drove up onto a hard icy patch of snow once and proceeded to bury myself in the blazer. After borrowing a shovel and digging myself out....I'll stick with my snowmobile on snow. The blazer belongs elswhere....

Only see snow year maybe one day out of the year, the last time it snowed year was 3 yars ago new years day. I really hate cold weather. Just give me my 100 degree days and i'm happy

 Not me....I'll take a 0* day with a head cold over a 100* cali day. You can always bundle up in the winter but you can only remove cloths until you're naked and then it's still hot :D :rotfl: . I can't wait until I get out of this hot state....

Exactly! I try telling my friends that cold weather is better because of that... but most of them still prefer 200 degree weather.

I'm always out working in the open driveway when it's 40-20 degrees out.

Thats why i hate summer heat. You can bundle up in winter, but in summer they arrest you for indecent exposure. Bastards.

I agree-snow sucks, and the cold too--I dont care if I make 6 grand plowing snow--it usually costs you 5500 to do it,and you usually wind up breaking sometging expensive and hard to fix--especially if it happens far from your shop(but of course)...If I move from here--it will be far south,or to arizona or nearby warm states --I could not care less if I ever felt cold or see snow again--it already snowed 8 inches here nov.13th!--thanfully it hasnt snowed again yet--but the weathermen are talking middle of this week for our coldest blast yet--I'm not looking forward to it....
