New rubber and tin on my junk:D Got the rims from Summit and the tires from tire rack.33x12.50 15's BFG KM2s for 185.00 each and not back ordered had them in 3 days to my door.

Most dealers wanted over 200.00 for the same tires and most of them were back ordered some time in May.Now The rest of the truck looks bad! Guess It needs finished.

Those wheels/ tires look perfect for the truck! If you don'tmind me asking... how much for the wheels??

Also, what's your suspension setup? Any rubbing?
 
No rubbing ! 3 inch lift. 101.00 each from summit.I was going to get these from Tire rack(same price) but were back ordered for April. These are made by Ultra Wheel and call Nomad deep lips 15x10's. With some effort got a price match. (My wife did the phone work and also picked these out) Good way to spend the money and not get in trouble is get them involved one way or the other.

Them are the rims I just got for my burb. what size are those. mine were 15x10x3.75bs
 
No problems on a stock 10b? Ive been looking for some new ones, but didnt really know about the backspacing and all that. Do these stick out any further than stock steelies would??
 
I wanted the km2's also but had a bad run in with one of the local stores. I got into the back order crap. waited 2.5 months , then went and got my money back.

My old rims were 4'' back space and 7'' wide. The new do stick out a little more but I like the look and no laws here on how far they stick out past the fenders.:pimp:
 
issues with the tire people

I lust had some tires and rims installed a few weeks ago here is the thread click. I have not driven the truck to much however i went to wally world in the rain and when I got home I wanted to clean them off.

I found that the paint around were the lug nuts are all gouged and scraped up I guess from the impact that was used. I guess I have missed this due the
to the area being up were I could not see it.

I have an appointment with the salesmen and the owner of this Business today after 2:00 pm. What does everyone think? Should it be expected? Some of the damage is bad.I think I could have done it with out the damage. Link to pictures
Tried to get pics up but keep getting a reject error.
Please your comment on this.

Hard to say without pics. Some damage is common there, especially from ham fisted tire shop guys. Just how much...?

My first thought is check your lug nut torque. If they really damaged it I bet they didn't use a torque wrench and torque them to 100ft/lbs either.

If its a wheeler does it really matter? its really not that noticable. i understand being mad about it but its pretty much impossible to keep wheels from getting scratched.

actually a tire shop should be using sockets with a rubber outside gaurd on it to prevent that. i have them and always use them on custom wheels. i would be going ape sh$t over that. they are new, and they are yours to screw up, not the tire shops.
 
The scuffs inside the lug holes are definitely from a socket. The scuffs on the outside, big circle around all the lug nuts, are from the tire balancer. Steps should have been taken to prevent that from happening, especially with the wheels being brand new.

A while back I worked at a "Super Shops" and we did alot of wheel/tire installs. We were not allowed to use air tools to install new wheels, everything got hand torqued. And a little masking tape on the wheels would have prevented the scratches from the tire balancer.

I do and have wheeled this rig at this time I intend to get this truck back into shape to hand over to my son so he can do what ever he wants.:doah:

So with that said I think They could have taken more care(may be done by hand) no impact and it will not matter some day but would like to keep the looking good for awhile.

I could not have said it better! I am getting ready to go visit the sales person and the owner soon.Ill post up there offer.
