too far north!
over the weekend i finished ripping all the wiring dash etc from the 85 chevy. i decided since i wanted a in cab cage done right the dash was in the way. so it's gone. i also cut away any wiring that would not be used.today i degreased the frame and firewall. tomorrow i am playing hookey from work and welding up the firewall holes. also hopefully getting the frame painted flat black. gotta jack it up up and pull front-rear mounts- springs etc. hopefully get the suspension finished. still waiting on t-case and doubler adapter from NWF so if thatr shows soon i can install engine-tranny-t-case-fab shock mounts etc.

what combo are you doing with your doubler, more specifically, what tranny?? going to man up and put a 4sp in there???:D
i have been torn about which tranny to go with! i was thinking about using a th350 trans. the engine will be a stock rebuild type 77 chevy 350 with a cam-holley intake-lunati cam-holley truck avenger carb. i have the th350 but want to do it right even if i gotta do another tranny:D

Hey that looks familiar!!

Not as clean as yours, but along the same lines.

Except mine came off the frame now.:D

LOL if I need any help putting something back together, I will ask you since you did this not too long ago:)

good advice for ya there steve. when i tore mine down, i had 3 best friends. masking tape, a marker, and ziplock bags.

I started doing that half way through, when I started it was a race again the weather and time to get it apart...

good point! don't be afraid to mark and tag everything. even if you think you will remember. if someone else helps you make sure they do cause if you didn't take the part off you may not no what it is or where it came from :D

I am in the process of putting my 73 back togeather after a complette tear down. Does any have some pictures of where the floor meets the rockers? The PO did a hack patch job there and I need to see what it looked like stock. I have fabed up some heavy inner rockers and am getting ready to rebuild the floor. I will shot some pictures of the inner rockers this weekend and post them.
