About those lifted 56" springs..

I have +4" 56" Pro Comp springs front and rear, these:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?CP=1&part=EXP-13311&N=700%200&Ntt=EXP~13311%20or%20EXP~13511&Ntk=&rsview=sku&Ns=

One thing I did not know when I ordered those springs, the main leaf is something like 58" or so. It maybe wouldnt matter whit a small block and no winch but I have both and I want the springs to flex. This means the main leaf is going to be straight (sp?) when compressed. So I had to move the rear frame bushing and make real long shackles.

But they flex very well.

do you have pics of the lifted 56's up front flexing? thats what im planning on running up front

Sorry no pics for now, the long shackles bent the frame and I am just starting to make an exocage tied to the frame all the way from the front to the rear.

And must stiffen up the frame at the frame bushing somehowe.

But I will take pics when its wheelable again.

Did some looking around and found out that Superlift does make a set of 2" lift 56" springs. But at 535 dollas and some change I think I suck it up and just buy a set of TC 4" and use them up front. 8 inches should still be alright for what I want. Get a set for the back and do a shackle flip and I'm in business.

for you, probably, im not sure if they make a 2" lifted 56"er tho. im looking to get about 8-9" of lift out of mine to match the rear, so thats why im probably going to go with 4" 56"ers
im almost postive rough country makes them. you can check that out. or why not some 3" tuff country's?

That front flex is incredible:eek1: . I havent done to much looking into it but that looks like a mod i want in the near future!

I'm looking to put a winch on the front with a bumper. It may end up a little on the heavy side, so the four inch might work out better. Kinda worried about the spring wrapup since i'm putting together a rather healthy 383 for it a little later.
