Got v-belt slipping problems?

I'm sure it was intended maybe for show, but how is that not a good idea? Too bad they don't have one that includes the PS pump. Just something I ran across by accident.

That second link is essentially what GM did with the 80's "semi-serpentine" setup, (But not shiny. ) except added a ribbed power steering pump belt.
