i'm gonna get them frt brake rotors turned....i'm a little worried about the auto locking hubs...any words of advice? can i do it? better for a pro? the book makes it look pretty easy....not too many springs and such...i would hate to not be able to put back together. thnx dudes. later

not a bad job.

if you use a cheep axle nut socket make sure it clears the inner nut lock pin. seen some cheep sockets not clear and brak the pin then your s.o.l. and need new inner nuts.

and why cut ? thinner and warp faster.

thay are cheep new and easy to swap over. then brand new and not thin.

i know its the cheap way, but i get'em turned for $10 / pc new is $60 +/- as with all my cheap fixes i end up regreting, but simply don't have the money right now. you saying i'm gonna need some kind of special socket?

$60 new for each rotor? Where the heck are you paying that high of price? I just did new rotors on my rig about a month ago and only paid $35 each for the premium ones (not slotted or anything like that).

yeah i know , i changed the fronts out on my "baby blazer" , a little s10 project i got going and they were 30.99, then i went and looked for ones for the k5 and it went up to 60-75bucks?? i musthave put somthing in wrong....i'll do some more research.

i found tool but they don't have the fancy one with all the grooves for the "pins" like the one you gave link too? it'll still work just be careful?

oh yes getting both turned....i ain't that cheap  i think i'm gonna go with some remaned calipers too. only $15/pc ...together that should do it...i hope i hope i hope......
