I was looking thru some gov. auctions and found some trucks listed but the pics were miss matched so I am trying to sort them out by VIN:

1GC6D34J5GF415751
1GCHD34JXEF349974
CKM26AF132467
1GCHD34J4EF350220

One pic is a Suburban, one a military K5, and 2 look like CUCV M1009 pickups (there was also a ford ranger that showed up when you looked at the Chevy Auctions while the suburban pic showed up in the ranger auction /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif)

1GC6D34J5GF415751 86 1 ton reg cab with 6.2
1GCHD34JXEF349974 84 1 ton reg cab 6.2
CKM26AF132467 80 3/4 ton Suburban with 350
1GCHD34J4EF350220 84 1 ton reg cab 6.2

The "D" in the 3 newer vin's I can't find. My chilton's ins't the best decode source. The "1GC6" looks like an error too, the 6 should be a letter not a numeral.

That's the best I can do...I'm sure someone has a better decode book than i do.

"D" stands for military truck 4x4
"3" stands for 1 ton
The other VIN is a Suburban, 4x2, with a 14,001-16,000 GVWR. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

All info obtained from my RPO code book. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The 14-16 K is depending on the rear axle gear ratio. 3.73 is the 14k and the 16k is 4.10.
If it has a 454 it would be 16k for the 3.73 (what my burb is set up). and 19k for 4.10.

It's not as impressive as it sounds. thats the weight of the burb it's cargo, passengers and trailer. 16k is pretty close to 9000lb on the trailer and three adults in truck. Basicly a built K5 on a sturdy trailer.
I have pulled close to that with mine and it aint real happy with that much in the hills. It will do it but theose caught behind you are not real happy when your in 2nd gear so you can hold 45-50mph. I sure as hell would never want to try 19k if I had 4.10 gears. If I can swing a Gear vendors I may swap to a 4.10. Just to make it easier on the hills I have in my area so I can maintain 55 if I ever start pulling my 75.
