I'm getting a knocking from "under" my dd (99 Z71) when I give it a healthy goose in the throttle. When I goose it hard, I can "feel" it with my foot thru the floorpan.

I was thinking maybe the gov bomb is going, along with the tranny & motor mounts.

I had loose torque converter bolts before with this truck, I know what that sounds like.

To be clear, the noise is coming from behind me, the "hits" are up front...

any ideas...?

Mine clunks sometimes. Usually if I'm turning and letting off the gas it seems to cause it. Turning into a friend of mine's driveway off the street does it every time without fail.

I perceive it as an audible clunk and can feel a little bit of a "shove" from behind when it does it.

I have a Detroit waiting under my workbench...

Driveshaft center support bearing (if it has one) or u-joints?

Usually when a gov bomb goes... it goes. Under accell on pavement (short of spinning tires) the locker part is not engaging. Unless you have some bits and parts floating around in there?

I'm thinking about pulling the cover...then again, it's not a constant thing....

no carrier bearing, u-joints felt good when I was under it a couple of weeks back...

but then again, it had 186k miles on it when I got it...
