So, I was thinking...
I hear a lot about Grenading Gov-Loc Disorder (GGD), and I started looking to see if there was anything a lot of them had in common...
I have heard that a lot of people's problem is that one wheel spins up, the Gov-Loc engages, and *BANG*, out goes the shiny oily parts through the diff cover.

So... what if you added some weight to the governor weights, to make it engage faster, with less RPM differential? I know it wouldn't make it bulletproof, but would it help for the people that tend to not get on the gas really hard on pavement? Does anyone know if this has been tried?
just an idea that I thought I would throw out.

Mine worked like a diff around corners , but seemed to lock in without any wheelspin at all. Then it broke I guess and I didn't know it until the broken pieces got caught and tore the case. If you insist on running a 1/2 ton axle ( like me I run 12 b ) get an open axle and a lockright , or a full case posi/locker. Or do like what will be posted next and get 3/4 ton axles /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Yeah. I can't say that I "insist" on running my 1/2 ton gear. I just can't afford anything else, unless there's someone here who wants to get rid of something better, that I can bolt on. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Anyone? Anyone? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
