Thats exactly what i was going to ask jk3078.. what kinda things/stress would have too be going on to do that? Did it start then progressively get worse.. or did it just completely go at once? Could these things go out like say cruising down the highway. That could be horrible i imagine.

I did this in front of my house. Went around the corner, got on the gas as soon as I straightened out, loud noise, no forward movement. Turn off truck, crawl underneath, driveshaft twisted in half. Later on find the crack in the diff housing, take cover off, and this is whats inside:

Not much to be said for the 10 bolt gov-locks if you are the slightest bit hard on them. Same vehicle as in my sig. Worked fine for 5 years, prior to the new engine, even then worked ok for a couple months of driving.
 
I still think he must have blowen it going up the hill, then stalled it and rolled into the hill, it was making clucks when he was trying to get out of the ditch.

i never hurd a boom so it must have whent befor.

I can't wait to do that to my front 10Bolt so I can tell the wife it's a $1500+ repair and geta locked D60 under there :D

We should have a competition to see who can blow up a Gov Bomb the best. Bonus points for making pieces come out through your Diff cover, or busting the Diff case. :saweet:

I don't have pics of my last gov-bomb but it looked like my diff case needed a scatter shield on it...... I'm willing to try again:D

I'm with dave on this one. That must have happened when you were on the hill. All we heard was the clicking noise. That was probably just the carier slowly eating itself up.

Not bad for your second wheeling trip Sunny!!!:bow:
